As consumers’ attention shifts online, we find most businesses also shifting their marketing dollars away from offline marketing tactics like direct mail, billboards, and radio, in exchange for digital marketing efforts.
The big digital marketing items that come to mind:

- Social Media
- Influencer Marketing
- Emphasis on Photo / Video
- iOS / Android Apps
Let’s break those down into two different camps: Offense and Defense.
Offense: anything spent on actively pursuing clients, such as paid ads on google, to a sales team cold calling potential clients.
Defense: anything spent on nurturing leads that fall into your sales funnel – such as a developing a website, or paying for a VOIP provider to power your phones, so clients can call your business.

I can’t count how many reputable companies I’ve called that have had stunning websites, logo, photo, video – the works! However I give them a call afterhours to hear their IVR system, and it sounds like Susan had been put back to work. Good effort Susan.
